What’s worse than not having a Wi-Fi connection? Having a Wi-Fi connection that doesn’t work!
Kindle Fire is an amazing e-reader that has changed the way we read, thanks to its convenience and freedom to download favorite books. However, the latter is only possible when your Wi-Fi connection is providing Internet to the device. This is because, much like most other devices, the Kindle Fire needs a functioning Internet connection.
Luckily, we are the bearers of good news! We are here to give you the solution to a very common problem – Kindle Fire will not connect to the Internet!
If you are on this boat, you are going to love this article.
Kindle Fire Internet Service Not Working – Code Cracked!
To start off with, we strongly suggest that you check your Internet connection. We cannot tell you how many times the solution has been this simple! Here’s what you should do:
- Is it working fine on all your other devices?
- Reconnect the LAN cable to your router
- The router probably needs a reboot. Why not try to switch it off and back on?
- Unplug and re-plug the power cable
- Check your network settings
If the Internet is not working on any other device, it is not a Wi-Fi problem. Complain to your ISP and get the connection sorted. If everything is fine and your Kindle Fire keeps losing Wi-Fi connection nevertheless, below are a few things you can try:
Check if the Airplane Mode is on
Just like your phone, if the Airplane mode is switched on, your Kindle Fire will not connect to the Wi-Fi. Please check if this is the case.
Reset your Device
Sometimes, a simple reset will help you receive the Internet. Press the Power button and hold it for a few seconds – until it restarts automatically. More often than not, this works like a charm. This can also work if your Kindle Fire keeps losing Wi-Fi connection.
Check the Password
In case you are unable to connect to the Wi-Fi at all, you should check the password. Maybe you changed it recently and are entering the wrong one? Also, in many instances, we have seen that while the device connects to the Wi-Fi, it requires a login and the details you are entering are wrong. In both cases, the Internet will not work.
These are the basic troubleshooting solutions and in most cases, one of them will do the trick. If nothing works, you have a deeper problem that needs professional help. We advise you to head to the Kindle care center or call their tech support team so that they take care of this for you. We do not encourage you to meddle with the device especially if you are not a tech person. It will only lead to more problems.
